Esta semana los estudiantes están aprendiendo sobre los temas y detalles de apoyo en las, fábulas, leyendas, mitos y cuentos populares. Ellos aprenderán a comparar y contrastar los escenarios en los mitos y los cuentos tradicionales. También, trabajarán en hacer inferencias sobre el texto para apoyar su comprensión.
This week the students will be learning about the different themes and supporting details in fables, legends, myths, and tall tales. They will learn to compare and contrast the settings of myths and tall tales. Also, they will be working on making inferences to support their learning.
Semana #26 -27Biografias y Autobiografias
Esta semana los estudiantes estarán trabajando con biografías y escribirán una autobiografía
This week the students will work with biographies and will be writing an autobiography
Semana #25 Poesia
Los estudiantes aprenderán a describir las características de las distintas formas poéticas (poesía narrativa, lírica, humorística y verso libre) y como estas crean imágenes. Ellos también tendrán que identificar el lenguaje que crea experiencias visuales gráficas y atrae a los sentidos. Tendrán que hacer inferencias sobre el texto y utilizar evidencia textual para apoyar su comprensión.
The students will learn to describe the different characteristics of poetry (lyrical, humoristic, narrative and free verse) and how they create images. They will have to identify the language that creates visual experiences and attracts the senses. They will also have to infer about the text and use textual evidence to support their inference.
Semana #23 Resumen de textos informativos
Esta semana estaremos resumiendo textos informativos. También, estaremos comparando resúmenes de textos ficción y textos informativos.
This week we will be summarizing informational texts. Also, we will be comparing summaries from a nonfiction text to a fiction text.

Esta semana estaremos repasando cómo identificar los detalles o hechos de la idea principal de un texto expositivo.
This week we will review how to identify the details or facts of a main idea from a nonfiction text.

Continuamos con investigación y medios publicitarios. Los estudiantes estarán formulando preguntas y investigando sobre un tema en específico en la biblioteca. También, estaremos practicando para la prueba de lectura.
This week we will continue with research and media literacy. The students will be creating and researching questions on a certain topic in the library. We will also be practicing for the reading benchmark.

Esta semana comenzaremos a analizar investigaciones sobre desastre naturales. Los estudiantes aprenderán a analizar cómo las palabras, las imágenes, las gráficas y los sonidos interactúan de diferentes maneras para impactar el significado.
This week we will begin to analyze investigations about natural disasters. The students will learn to analyze how the words, the images, the graphs and the sounds interact in different ways to impact the meaning of the investigation.

Esta semana los estudiantes empezaran a formular preguntas literales, interpretativas y de evaluación sobre el texto. Durante el viernes de poesía aprenderán a identificar el lenguaje que crea experiencias visuales gráficas y atrae a los sentidos. Los géneros que estaremos estudiando esta semana son: ficción, expositivo y poesía.
This week the students will begin to formulate questions that evaluate, interpret or that are literal about the text. On poetry Friday the students will identify words that create visual images and that attract our senses. The genre for this week is fiction, expository and poetry.
